Honourary Members
Each year, the WTS Toronto Area Chapter offers two honourary memberships. An honourary membership is an opportunity for chapters to attract inspirational individuals who are not currently members of WTS and who have been identified by the chapter as key leaders in the local transportation industry.
We are pleased to introduce the following WTS Toronto Area Chapter Honourary Members for 2023/2024:
Theresa Cooke
Theresa leads Customer Success for Managed Charging globally at Siemens, and is based in Canada. With 15 years of experience, she has led profit and process improvement projects in the U.S. and Germany, and built a global strategy function for offshore wind. In Canada, she has driven cross-business growth strategies and led governance for sales incentives and CRM for the Smart Infrastructure group. She holds a degree in Systems Design Engineering and a doctorate in Neuroscience.
Rosemarie Powell
Rosemarie is a passionate advocate for social, economic and environmental justice. She has led from the grassroots up, managing and developing innovative community initiatives to support historically disadvantaged communities and equity deserving groups' access to the labour market and economy. Currently, she is Executive Director of the Toronto Community Benefits Network, where she works to secure jobs and economic opportunities through Community Benefits Agreements from major urban and public infrastructure projects, including transit.
