GLASS CEILING
Join WTS-GNY's Glass Ceiling Committee
The WTS-GNY Glass Ceiling Committee is seeking new members! We are looking to build our committee with diverse, energetic and dynamic members to keep this important initiative moving forward. We are seeking individuals with a variety of expertise including copy editing, graphics, research and survey experience. The committee is planning to build upon the great work conducted to date, including the 2019 Baseline Study for Future Benchmarking of Women in Leadership Roles Report and the 2020 Employee Survey efforts with a goal of publishing a follow up report in 2025. The committee meets once a month, at which time committee members can volunteer for various opportunities to support the survey and report efforts. If you would like to help this important initiative, please contact the Glass Ceiling co-chairs: Katie Theis [email protected] and Renee Ducker [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you!
In 2019, the Glass Ceiling Committee of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Greater New York Chapter produced the 2019 Baseline Study for Future Benchmarking of Women in Leadership Roles Report . This survey created a baseline from which we can track the progress of women’s advancement in the Greater New York transportation industry and helped identify barriers to women’s advancement.
Today the Glass Ceiling Committee would like to build on that work with an updated survey and we need your help. WTS-GNY will use this and subsequent study findings to identify actions to advocate locally in support the WTS mission as well as identify changes in the status of women in the transportation industry as a whole. These surveys help us review and quantify the challenges faced by women in our region and track the progress of women’s advancement in the Greater New York transportation industry.
To help us advance this project, please complete the attached survey. It should take about 15-20 minutes of your time.
The survey has two options. You can respond to this survey on behalf of yourself and your individual experience, or if you are an HR representative, please respond to this survey on behalf of your organization.
The survey window will be open through Friday December 6, 2024.
PLEASE NOTE that all responses to this survey are voluntary and COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL. The data will only be reported in group form and never for an individual.
On behalf of WTS-GNY, we thank you in advance for your willingness to participate in this survey effort, and for your support of WTS. We believe that this effort will continue to help us better understand the state of women’s professional advancement in both public and private transportation sectors throughout the Greater New York area, as well as continue to track over time their progress in this area.
