Our Chapter
Welcome to WTS Vermont!
WTS Vermont brings together engineers, planners, construction and maintenance staff, those in customer service, and others who help us all get to where we’re going. Personal connections built through networking and mentorship can help bring different parts of the transportation sector together to tackle transportation problems faced by Vermonters and the nation. WTS Vermont intends to help to build and shape leadership in the Vermont transportation community – particularly among women – and to have fun doing it!
Thanks to the early groundwork of leaders working to advance opportunities for women in transportation, WTS Vermont gained momentum and held an inaugural launch keynoted by Governor Phil Scott in 2018, and officially became a WTS International affiliated chapter in 2019. WTS Vermont is proud to welcome members across sectors and disciplines in transportation. We are operated completely by volunteers including our Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and members.

Lead or Join a Committee
As a new and growing chapter, WTS Vermont offers multiple opportunities to get involved in a leadership role to help create and shape the development of Committees. We depend on our Committees to help shape the success of our Chapter so that WTS-Vermont supports the needs and interests of its members. This all starts with YOU! The best way to learn about WTS – and benefit from it – is to get involved at a committee level. Friendships, networking, leadership skills, and visibility are just a few of the things that come out of volunteering for WTS. I can’t think of a better way to have ongoing professional development that will ultimately help you at work, too. Please reach out to anyone on the Executive Team or speak with us at one of our events to learn more. We look forward to hearing from you!
