WTS Southwest Ohio 2024-2025 Scholarships

The Southwest Ohio Chapter offers local level scholarships under the “Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship”!  These scholarships are for undergraduate female students that are majoring in a transportation related field. Two (2) $3,500 scholarships will be awarded by the Southwest Ohio Chapter to the most qualified applicants, who submits accurate and complete applications. The highest scoring local level winner will also, be forwarded on for consideration of the $5,000 WTS National Level Scholarship.

Note that only (1) copy of an application is necessary to be filed for each scholarship, as the Sharon D. Banks Scholarship application serves the purposes of both the local and national review process.

The deadline to submit applications to the SW chapter, for the National WTSI ($5000) level scholarship is 12/8/24, to [email protected]

The deadline to submit applications to the SW chapter, for the Local SW Ohio WTS ($3500) level scholarship is 1/10/25, to [email protected]

*Before funds are distributed, the recipients must agree to periodically respond to online scholar surveys.  The feedback received provides insight to WTS, with regards to how the recipient is progressing in their transportation development goals.  In turn, WTS is then able to implement more effective scholarship services for future applicants/recipients.

Congratulations to Kate Boon and Nora Schwartz for winning scholarships through WTS in 2024! Both young women were awarded a $3,500 Sharon D. Banks Scholarship.
