Scholarships
From the six national scholarships listed below, the South Carolina WTS Chapter ranks all applications to select our 2025 Scholarship Recipients. Due to outstanding support from our sponsors, a total of $11,500 will be divided among our 2025 Scholarship Recipients!
Our local winning applications will also be forwarded to the WTS Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee to compete for the national scholarships.
WTS Transportation YOU High School Scholarship - (High School)
Junior College/ Trade School Scholarship - (Associate/Technical degree)
Sharon D. Banks Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship - (Undergraduate)
Molitoris Leadership Scholarship for Undergraduates - (Undergraduate)
Helene M. Overly Memorial Graduate Scholarship - (Graduate)
Jannet Walker-Ford Leadership Legacy Scholarship for Graduates - (Graduate)
General requirements for these scholarships are as follows:
- Enrolled in a transportation-related degree program or high school seniors pursuing studies in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math)
- Plans to pursue a career in a transportation-related field
- Open to women with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific goals and aspirations, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills.
WTS awards scholarships to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs, or high school STEM coursework.
Applications for all WTS scholarships must be submitted to the WTS South Carolina Chapter by Friday, April 25, 2025!
