Communications Committee

Responsible for public relations, the Communications Committee prepares and distributes communication materials with members and partners including email, social media, graphic design, quarterly newsletters, print collateral, and maintaining the website.

Corporate Sponsorship Committee

Throughout the year, this committee coordinates with San Diego County Corporate Sponsors and a variety of other committees to showcase the partners in the monthly luncheons, the Corporate Sponsors Bingo, special programs and the Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for developing and communicating member benefits and maintaining the chapter's contact lists. The membership committee also works with current members to renew their membership and encourages potential members to join.

Mentorship Committee

WTS encourages professional development and recognizing women in transportation. The San Diego County Mentorship Program matches young professionals with an accomplished industry professional for one-on-one mentoring.

Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is responsible for managing nominations for chapter executive positions, board members, committee chairs, and committee lead nominations. The committee prepares election materials and schedules, identifies the award process and contacts all nominees to inform them of the election results.

Programs Committee

The committee develops a program schedule for the upcoming year, including speakers and venues for each event. Additional responsibilities include setting up audio and visual needs, coordinating materials with speakers, organizing photography, and developing printed collateral for events.

Annual Awards & Scholarship Gala Committee

This committee is responsible for planning and organizing our chapter's Annual Awards & Scholarship Gala. This committee is responsible for developing marketing material and event program. They also work extensively with other committees to gather necessary material for the event.

Recognitions Committee

The Recognitions Committee is responsible for managing the annual award nominations. The committee prepares materials and schedules, identifies the award process, and contacts all nominees to inform them of the results.

Scholarships Committee

The Scholarship Committee works with the community and partners to offer high school, community college, undergraduate and graduate scholarships to girls and women. The committee interacts with applicants throughout the application process and introduces winners to professionals in the industry.

Transportation YOU Committee

This committee organizes the student mentee and mentor application and selection as well as help organize the selected mentee/mentor to attend the annual DC YOU Summit. This committee also plans and organizes other student outreach events for middle and high schools in the area.

Volunteer Committee

This committee helps identify volunteers to support the chapter and other committees. This committee also plans the annual Volunteer Open House.
