WTS Colorado Scholarship Program

WTS Colorado fosters the development of women in the transportation field by encouraging new professionals to undertake careers in the area of transportation. One way it does this is by awarding scholarships to women pursuing community college, undergraduate, and graduate studies in transportation or a related field.

Each year the WTS Colorado Chapter supports exceptional young women as they pursue careers in the transportation industry by awarding six local scholarships. Each WTS Colorado scholarship winner is automatically entered for consideration for the WTS International Scholarship award.

2024-2025 Scholarship Application

Scholarship applications open Sunday, September 1. All applications and supporting documents are due no later than Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• GPA of 3.0 or Higher 
• Current enrollment in a transportation related field; 
  • Community college, undergraduate and graduate students – must be enrolled in a transportation related program at time of application submission 
  • Graduating high school seniors – demonstrate an interest in enrolling in a transportation related program for the Fall 2024 semester 
• Plans to Pursue a Career in a Transportation-Related Field 
• Applicants should be attending school in Colorado or Wyoming, and reside in Colorado or Wyoming.

REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

When applying, be prepared to provide the following:

• Proof of enrollment
• Transcript(s) 
• Personal statement
• Statement of financial need (optional)
• 1-2 letters of recommendation (2 letters are required for Graduate Scholarships)
  • Please reach out to you recommender(s) in advance so they are prepared to provide a letter of recommendation when you submit your application
