The Central VA Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) will be hosting FREE webinar panel events throughout the 2024-2025 school calendar. These webinars are catered to women in grades 6-12, but all interested attendees are welcome to participate. The focus of this webinar series is to highlight a project or person within the Commonwealth of Virginia, or offer resources to students interested in  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math).

Each webinar will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 PM (EST) via our Zoom virtual platform, unless otherwise stated.

Transforming Rail in Virginia

Join our 1-hour FREE panel event featuring professionals with the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA). This panel will address topics related to passenger rail throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. This webinar is catered to students that are currently in high school, but all students are welcome to attend and participate.

STEM Expo - Sea Air Space

April 6-9, 2025
Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center - Maryland

The Navy League of the United States is celebrating the return of our annual STEM Expo, now in its 7th year.

Geared toward 5th through 12th grade students, this free event inspires and empowers students interested in science, technology, engineering and math careers.

Students and parents are invited to enjoy interactive STEM workshops, hands-on demonstrations, STEM career information, networking opportunities and more.

Celebrate Earth Day with Virginia State Parks

Tuesday, April 22nd

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks. The theme for Earth Day 2025 is “Our Power, Our Planet”! This powerful campaign emphasizes the collective responsibility we all share in transitioning to renewable energy sources and creating a sustainable future.
