WTS Iowa Scholarship Recipients
Congratulations to Anna and Alaina, our 2024 WTS Iowa Scholarship recipients!
Anna is a Junior at the University of Iowa, majoring in Civil Engineering. Her academic success (4.06 GPA), extra-curricular activities and summer internships with consulting firms made her an ideal candidate for WTS support. She is very interested in improving our public transportation and bike trail systems after studying abroad in Spain and witnessing what that country has to offer. During the interview she was well spoken, professional and enthusiastic about her career choice, all of which makes us very proud to support her with a WTS scholarship.
Alaina is a Junior at Iowa State University, majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Urban Studies. Her academic success (3.86 GPA), extracurricular activities, and internship experience made her an ideal candidate for WTS support. Alaina is an active member of the ASCE student chapter, where she serves as the secretary. Not only does Alaina enjoy the intricate detail of design work, she’s very concerned with transportation and its ability to keep people safe. Well-spoken, professional and enthusiastic, we are very proud to support Alaina with a WTS scholarship.
