Congratulations to Kristina Kuehling, WTS Iowa’s Member of the Year!
Since the formation of WTS Iowa, Kristina has been dedicated to raising awareness of women’s accomplishments in the transportation industry and fostering connections among professionals in the industry. Serving as Chair of the Communications Committee, she has played a pivot role in promoting the achievements of our members, raising the chapter’s visibility, and fostering engagement through thoughtful and impactful communication.
As a communication consultant at Images, Inc., Kristina has brought her industry expertise and passion for storytelling to WTS Iowa to highlight women’s impact in transportation and elevate our chapter's presence in the industry. Kristina will continue her leadership as chapter Vice President in the upcoming term.

As the District 3 Engineer for the Iowa Department of Transportation, Jessica Felix is a leader in attracting, sustaining, connecting and advancing women’s careers to strengthen the Iowa DOT.
She is not only knowledgeable in her engineering field, with years of experience and initiatives to back her actions, she is focused on the future and what that looks like for the Iowa DOT and the motorists of tomorrow. Seeking collaborative ways to solve problems and allowing others a seat at the table are all ways she is focused on building her employees to be the best version of themselves.

The Iowa DOT is leading the way to help attract, sustain, connect, and advance women’s careers to strengthen the transportation industry. One of the Iowa DOT’s priority goals is to advance their workforce for future challenges and opportunities. Employees have opportunities for career advancement, continual professional development, formal leadership trainings, as well as encouraging professional organization memberships and peer exchanges. The Iowa DOT recently formed a public partnership with WTS allowing for a collaborative partnership with shared goals which support accomplishing their respective missions.
