WTS-Boston Members on the Move: Lori Chicoyne and Offionganwan (Offi) Efiong

WTS-Boston members Lori Chicoyne and Offionganwan (Offi) Efiong both recently joined Weston & Sampson, an interdisciplinary design, engineering, and environmental services firm.

Lori joined the firm as their Director of Market Strategy with over 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, and client services in the New England AEC industry and will be collaborating with leadership to develop and integrate a firm-wide market strategy through strategic initiatives for future growth. Additionally, she will focus on expanding the firm’s footprint in several key markets, particularly transportation, higher education, and private development.

Lori is a leader in several industry organizations, including having served as the National Conference Co-Chair for the WTS Annual Conference held in Boston in May 2019. Previously, she served in several leadership roles for WTS-Boston, including Director-at-Large and Co-Chair of various committees. In 2017, she was instrumental in securing a prime spot on Chronical, an award-winning New England television program, featuring WTS and local leading women in transportation.

She is also a member of American Council of Engineering Companies, CREW Boston, Boston Chapter of PWC, Society for Marketing Professional Services, and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. She earned her BS in business administration, with a major in marketing, from Bryant University.

Offi joined the firm’s Transportation practice with over three years of experience as a transportation engineer. She has prepared site plans, designed roadway plans, and created traffic impact and traffic due diligence reports. At Weston & Sampson she will be Engineer III in the transportation discipline.

Having joined WTS Boston in 2019, Offi is the current Communications co-chair. She was previously the Programs Coordinator for the Institute of Transport Engineers Northeastern Student Chapter.

She earned her MS in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and her BS, also in Civil Engineering, from the University of Uyo in Nigeria.
