WTS-Boston Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
Each year Hispanic Heritage Month is observed between September 15 and October 15 to honor and celebrate the contributions and importance of Hispanic Americans to the US. This tradition was initiated in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. The observance was enacted into law on August 17, 1988, on the approval of Public Law 100- 402. At WTS-Boston, we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing our Hispanic members and their contributions to the WTS community and the transportation industry.
