Happy New Year to all! I am pleased to begin my two-year term as WTS-Boston President. Our premier organization constantly strives to attract, sustain, connect, and advance women’s careers to strengthen the transportation industry. We achieve this through delivering strong mentoring and professional development programs, spotlighting leaders who are at the forefront of transportation, and building bridges among emerging and accomplished professionals through networking events. 

Our volunteers bring the energy that sustains our chapter and the industry - THANK YOU to all who have been generous to share their time and expertise to WTS-Boston. I am honored to work with each of you.

WTS-Boston recently held a strategic planning session with leadership, and each committee has identified goals for 2023.  Our priorities align with those of WTS International to include: 

• Organizational excellence to ensure we focus our time on leadership development and a cohesive vision
• Member and sponsor engagement so our programming and benefits meets the needs of our partners, and
• Access, equity and opportunity to advance women, advance transportation through low-cost professional development events and mentoring programs that welcome diverse individuals from the public and private sectors.

The goals will ensure that we are changing as the industry changes and empowering our leaders. 

As I continue my journey in WTS-Boston leadership, I want to encourage each of you to get involved - join a committee, help out at an event, and get to know others. The best way to feel connected is to get involved, whether it be for a current passion or in a new skill you want to learn.
