The Transportation Research Board's inaugural Conference on Advancing Transportation Equity is coming up September 9-10 and 13-14, 2021. Viewed through the lens of equity, this conference will explore all areas of transportation practice and research, including those that address links between transportation and housing, telecommunications, health, policing, and economic development. With support from the U.S. Department of Transportation, this conference will be held virtually on September 9, 10, 13, and 14, 2021.

TRB is offering a limited number of scholarships to students and young professionals to cover the cost of registration to the conference. The scholarship will benefit people needing financial assistance from underrepresented groups whose employer or academic institution cannot support the cost of registration to attend this conference. The representation of members from diverse communities and backgrounds offers a much-needed opportunity to broaden the conversation and our collective understanding.

Selected awardees will receive a full conference registration to access all conference sessions. The conference also features a special Student Engagement Series focused on connecting students and young professionals with their future in transportation. 

If you have already purchased a conference registration, you will be reimbursed the registration amount paid. All applications will be considered on a first-come basis.
