Dr. Rhonda Young, PhD, PE is a Professor and Chair of civil engineering at Gonzaga University. She worked as a consultant for 10 years in the transportation profession, prior to becoming a professor at University of Wyoming. Rhonda has been at Gonzaga since 2015. Her research has specialized in intelligent transportation and transportation safety and mobility, including study of Connected Vehicle Technology to improve highway safety in adverse weather conditions. Rhonda is a registered professional engineer in the states of Washington and Wyoming.
Rhonda will present on her work in the field of transportation safety through technology for connected vehicles, as well, as how we look at connecting communities through modes other than single occupancy vehicles.
