Public Speaking Tips and Tricks with Margaret O’Meara

On Tuesday, November 16th please join the WTS-Boston Professional Development Committee for an hour long training to discuss public speaking tips and tricks with Kleinfelder’s Margaret O’Meara.  Public Speaking can take many forms and doesn’t always mean speaking on a stage in front of a crowd of 100+ people.  It’s a skill that proves useful in every aspect of your life, particularly if you work in a leadership role or intend to. Effective communication can inform your audience, motivate them toward a common goal, and even win over detractors.  And it’s true: public speaking (in any form) can be daunting, but rest assured, Margaret will share her tips, tricks and experiences to help you overcome your fears and hone your skills.  You'll learn about the importance of getting a voice at the table and how the ability to speak up and speak well will advance your career.  Margaret will share her knowledge on how to manage being nervous and the importance of being prepared AND being yourself.
