Being recognized as Women of the Year was seen as both an honor and a responsibility. The panelists discussed the importance of creating a supportive culture, sharing experiences, and providing opportunities for others. They also acknowledged the progress made in the industry and the ongoing need for change.

To encourage more women to join the industry, the panelists focused on professional development and engaging students by exposing them to careers in transportation. They expressed pride in their contributions, such as completing significant projects during challenging times and increasing women's representation in engineering roles.

The event also honored other past Women of the Year in attendance, including Lydia Kennard and Michelle Lopes Caldwell. Their presence underscored the legacy of excellence and the ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of women in transportation.
