Mentoring Mixer with COMTO, SHPE, and Engineers Club
On Wednesday, October 30th, WTS Philadelphia, in collaboration with the Philadelphia chapters of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Engineers Club, hosted a Mentoring Mixer to kick off its six-month mentoring program. The event served as an invaluable networking platform, bringing together seasoned professionals and emerging talents to foster meaningful connections that will shape the future of the transportation industry.
At the mixer, mentees had the opportunity to meet and interact with five potential mentors, gaining insight into diverse career paths, expertise, and leadership styles. This initial pairing process was designed to help mentees identify the mentors who would best support their professional growth and development within the program. Program participants to look out for final mentor-mentee pairings next month, setting the stage for their mentoring journey.
We look forward to seeing the progression of these mentoring relationships as we all collectively work towards building a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking professional community. Stay tuned for updates on our mentee-mentor matches and the progress of this transformative program!
