Mary Jane O’Meara Receives the WTS International Mary Peters Inspirational Leader Award
WTS International is excited to honor the outstanding leadership and service of Mary Jane O’Meara with the distinguished Mary Peters Inspirational Leader Award! This award recognizes transformative industry leaders for their impact and influence. With over 45 years of experience in the transportation industry, Mary Jane O’Meara is a visionary and treasured mentor who has had a tremendous impact on transportation innovation and on advancing women’s leadership in the industry.
Mary Jane O’Meara is a longtime member and leader of WTS International, serving as past President of both WTS International and the WTS Boston Chapter. She currently works as the Vice President and National Tolling Representative with HNTB, where she leads critical infrastructure strategy. Mary Jane O’Meara’s inspirational career includes over two decades of service at the Massachusetts Port Authority, founding and chairing the New England Toll Association, directing the Tobin Memorial Bridge, and serving as president of the International Bridge, Tunnel, Turnpike Association.
The Mary Peters Inspirational Leader Award recognizes leaders who, like Mary Peters, lead transportation transformation and encourage professionals to step up and engage in challenging conversations and actions to effect positive change in the industry.
