Lisa Corcoran Becomes SIA's First Chief Development Officer!

SPOKANE, Wash. (June 17, 2024) – Spokane International Airport has promoted Lisa Corcoran to Chief Development Officer. In this new position, Corcoran joins the Spokane Airports senior leadership team as she continues to oversee all aspects of the Airport’s planning, development and environmental programs. She will also play a key role in guiding the Airport’s strategic growth and innovation, including the implementation of Capital Improvement Program projects for Spokane International Airport, Felts Field and the Airport Business Park.

Corcoran joined the Airport team as a Project Manager in July 2014 and throughout her tenure has held roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, Corcoran served as the Airport’s Director of Planning and Engineering, and has overseen the planning, design, and construction of the Airport’s largest-ever terminal modernization and expansion project.  Last month, under Corcoran’s guidance, the Airport successfully completed the first phase of its multi-year Terminal Renovation and Expansion (TREX) Program both on time and on budget.

“In order for Spokane Airports to deliver on its mission as an economic engine that also links our region to the global economy, we rely on a small but highly capable and motivated workforce. Accordingly, it is critical to our long-term success to attract, retain and develop top aviation management talent, like Lisa Corcoran,” said Spokane Airports CEO Larry Krauter. “Lisa exemplifies our values of a strong work ethic, creative and critical thinking through challenges, collaborative approach to decision making and achieving high-quality outcomes along with a healthy sense of urgency to diligently plan and execute our improvement projects. It has always been a priority for me to promote from within, and I am pleased to see Lisa Corcoran advance to this senior leadership position as the Airport continues to achieve new levels of growth and resulting economic benefit to our region.”

Corcoran brings nearly 30 years of aviation engineering and planning experience to the new position. Prior to her work at Spokane International Airport, Corcoran served as the lead aviation engineering advisor for the Pacific Northwest region for USKH Inc. Earlier in her career, Corcoran also worked for the State of Alaska Department of Transportation.

Corcoran earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska and holds the Certified Member (C.M.) credential from the American Association of Airport Executives. She is also an alumna of Gonzaga University’s Emerging Leaders Program and was named the 2020 Woman of the year by the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene Chapter of the Women in Transportation Seminar (WTS).
