Learn From a Leader Summer Series Event: Modeling C-Suite Behavior
On May 23rd, our first installment of the "Learn From A Leader" event series, Modeling C-Suite Behavior, was hosted at the Burns Engineering office. The inspiring panel discussion was moderated by Tiffany Spraggins and featured Esther McGinnis, Anna Lynn Smith, Pamela Conti, and Emmanuella Myrthil, who provided practical advice and shared personal stories that resonated with attendees and helped them gain new insights into career advancement.
During the event, panelists shared stories of pivotal events and decisions that encouraged attendees to take risks and position themselves for opportunities that present themselves, even if they seem daunting. From their journeys, the panelists also emphasized the importance of keeping an open mind and be willing to learn and adapt.
The panelists shared their experiences with receiving feedback and how it helped them grow in their careers. They encouraged attendees to seek out feedback and use it as a tool for improvement and growth.
Additionally, the panelists highlighted the importance of having a community in organizations like WTS. They talked about the value of mentorship, sponsorship, and networking, and how these relationships can help advance one’s career. As one panelist said, “Have your community. Find people who can support you and help you navigate your career."
