On Wednesday, December 15th, Major Lauren Serrano, who is currently serving as the Aide-De-Camp to the Chief of Naval Operations, presented leadership values and skills that she’s compiled in her experiences throughout her career thus far. Over 40 participants joined our virtual professional development session on December 15th, focusing on valuable lessons of:

• Being stronger together, focusing on team dynamics and building relationships
• Leading through tragedy and challenging times
• Setting the example, inspiring others to be what they can see
• Being authentic with a consistent internal and external personal brand
• Maintaining (and contributing to others) support systems
• Empowering the next generation to be step up, lead, and succeed; planting trees you’ll never climb yourself
• Valuing skills, abilities, power, and responsibility
