Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia's Project Partner, Vantage Airport Group, Transforming Transportation Hubs

For the past 30 years, Vantage has worked to make Airports more efficient, profitable, sustainable, and connected to their communities.

In September 2021, it added a Rail Station to its entourage of transformative projects. Vantage is partnering with Plenary Infrastructure Philadelphia to develop and manage the concessions program at Amtrak’s historic William H. Gray III, 30th Street Station, currently undergoing a significant revitalization. January 2024 kicked off the first significant phase of construction which impacts daily visitors of the Station. The heart of the existing concessions program, in the South Concourse, is closed for construction and plans to reopen in summer 2025.

Given the continued operation of the Station and with 4.5 million Amtrak riders in 2023, the female-led Vantage team at Gray 30th Street knew that providing retail and food and beverage options during construction was still a priority.  Katie Knight, General Manager, and Danielle Cairo, Commercial Manager, debuted a brand-new Dunkin’ kiosk and Hudson News kiosk just after the new year. In April 2024, Pret a Manger will open a kiosk alongside the others to bolster the offering, along with an inline location in the SEPTA wing. These creative female leaders will aim to bring in additional “pop-ups” to fuel the visitors and of course, Amtrak employees, through the next few years of construction.

Vantage feels fortunate to have numerous women spearheading transformative projects across the organization, and wholeheartedly celebrates these women leaders who contribute to making history every day.
