Financial Planning
The Professional Development Committee held a class on financial planning for major life events on Tuesday, January 28.
The panel, moderated by board member, Ty McGilberry, included Tonia Adleta, owner of Adleta Events, Bill Friederich, Mortgage Broker for Bayshore Mortgage, Jamie Kerezsi, Realtor with Keller Williams, and Earl Shorter, Retirement Advisor with Pegasus Financial Planning.
An interactive discussion touched upon happy milestones such as buying a home, retirement, and wedding planning to more unfortunate realities like sudden illness, deaths, and divorce. Tools were presented and reviewed with the group to facilitate personal financial forecasting with an aim toward taking the stress and anxiety out of the task of planning.
