Event Recap: WTS-Boston April Luncheon Seminar with Luciana Burdi from Massport
The WTS-Boston Chapter held its April luncheon seminar in person on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the UMass Club in Boston. As a direct result of our members, leadership, and sponsors, Boston continues to be one the largest and most influential chapters in the overall WTS International organization.
Gina Solman, WTS-Boston President, welcomed the approximately 200 guests at this sold-out WTS-Boston event. Before she welcomed our keynote speaker, she acknowledged and thanked our corporate sponsors who without their support, WTS Boston would not be as successful a chapter as we are, and we are truly grateful for this.
Gina then welcomed Luciana Burdi, Director for Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs for Massport, the event’s keynote speaker. Luciana shared her insights into the power of high performing teams, and how each person contributes to the team’s success by sharing their individual superpowers. Luciana delivered a dynamic and thought-provoking presentation, showcasing her commitment to diversity, innovation, and talent development. The audience was captivated by her unique perspective on the benefits of building diverse teams, and how the team member differences ultimately improve the project outcome. Thank you to Luciana for graciously agreeing to share her presentation here.
Special thanks to our Programs Committee for planning and running this event, especially co-chair Kari Richards, (HDR | City Point Partners), board liaison, Jackie Carver (HDR) and event champion, Heidi Cashman (GeoEngineers USA).
