Event Recap: WTS-Boston 2024 Leadership Forum
The Boston Chapter held its annual Leadership Forum in person on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Courtyard Marriot Hotel in Boston with over 160 guests in attendance. This event was invitation only, and guests ranged from chapter sponsors to public officials to friends and family of the honoree, Stephanie Pollack.

During a cocktail style reception, Gina Solman, WTS-Boston President, welcomed all those in attendance. Before she welcomed our honoree, Gina acknowledged and thanked our corporate sponsors, our 2024 WTS-Boston leadership team, as well as our public officials for their efforts to advance women in transportation and support of WTS.
The rest of the evening was spent honoring the achievements of Stephanie Pollack. Gina introduced her astounding career which spans the public, private, academic, and non-profit sectors, noting her current role as a Senior Advisor in the office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation, as well as her time at FHWA as well as MassDOT. Then Stephanie graciously accepted her award and highlighted for all of us her passion and commitment to improving our transportation system and inspiring future leaders.

Thanks to all those who were able to attend in person to congratulate Stephanie on her award. Special thanks to our Special Projects Committee for planning and running this event, especially co-chairs Arzu Hemann (MBTA), Katherine Patch (Fuss & O'Neill, Inc.), and their board liaison, Victoria Palek (Arcadis). Additionally, we’d like to thank our Communications Committee co-chair, Ali Love (STV) and board liaison, Ali Mattson (HNTB) for their help in making this event a success!
