College Outreach Program: Caltrans District 7 Virtual Office Visit
In a series of student programs aimed at networking and learning about transportation careers, the WTS-LA College Outreach committee organized a virtual office visit with Caltrans District 7.
Ten engineering and planning students from California State University, Northridge; Cal State Los Angeles, USC, and Bakersfield College joined us last week to learn about the Caltrans Liberty Canyon Wildlife Crossing project.
We were hosted by Barbara Marquez, ENV SP, Deputy District 7 Director for Sustainability and Innovation and WTS-LA Transportation YOU Co-Chair; Sheik Moinuddin, PE, Caltrans District 7 Project Manager; and John Bulinski, PE, District 7 Director and WTS-LA Director at Large. They shared their experiences working on the largest wildlife crossing project in the world.
