Arthur Schurr receives WTS- LA Lois Cooper "Going the Distance" Award
Few individuals can boast of a WTS journey spanning more than two and a half decades, lot alone claim a pivotal role in propelling both the organization and the chapter forward quite like Arthur Schurr. Alexandra Spencer, a former WTS-LAS President and retired AECOM Media Relations Officer, reflects on Schurr's impact: " Nearly 25 years ago, as part of a comprehensive marketing initiative, WTS-LA engaged Arthur Schurr - a widely published transportation journalist and speechwriter. A key in WTS International's rebranding 23 years ago, Schurr played a vital role in shaping WTS LA's nationally prominent chapter. Boasting 30 years in architecture and engineering, Schurr has contributed extensively to WTS programs, award-winning publications, and influential infrastructure magazines. His expertise lies in weaving engaging narratives from complex technical subjects fo various organizations and executives.
Though originally hailing from Philadelphia, Schurr is a long-time New Yorker with an undergraduate film degree from Temple University and master's in screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
