WTS International Leadership Programming seeks to prepare professionals to lead the future of the transportation industry by learning and refining essential management skills.
 

Signature Leadership Training

It will take strong leadership to develop a future of transportation that is equitable, secure, and accessible. This new generation of leaders will need to be innovative, creative, and compassionate. The WTS International Signature Leadership Program prepares women to guide the future of the industry.

Participants hear from expert facilitators and speakers, practice effective management skills, learn how to assess risk, and develop other professional skills that will advance not only their own careers, but those who use transportation services in their communities. 

Split into two program tracks, WTS International's Executive Leader Program is targeted toward women leaders preparing for the highest levels of management — setting strategic directions; making decisions to stay on course; and maneuvering through change. The WTS Mid-Career Leadership Program provides the building blocks necessary for advancement in participants established career paths — identifying foundational strengths and building critical skills.

Chapter Leadership Development

Managing a chapter is no small feat! It requires collaboration, leadership, and grit. Chapter Leader Training is designed to share best practices in organizational management, effective leadership and responsible board management to develop the next generation of leaders and inspire WTS members.

Joining a chapter’s leadership team through service on a committee can be a great first step from being a passive member to being an engaged leader. Find the chapter nearest you and learn more about getting involved.
 

WTS Executive Women's Roundtable

The Executive Women’s Roundtable is an annual event that runs concurrently with the WTS Annual Conference. Participation is open to WTS female-identifying Executive Members.  The goals of the Roundtable include:

• Providing our WTS Executive Members with specific member value and exclusive opportunities
• Providing a candid and welcoming setting for WTS Executive Women Members to discuss current challenges, opportunities, and trends in transportation and in being a female leader in a male dominant industry
• Providing opportunities to discuss experiences and best practices for retaining and advancing women in the transportation industry

Past participants have included public sector leaders like Secretaries of Transportation, Agency and Authority Heads (state or local) and Board of Directors members, as well as private sector executives, such as C-suite execs and corporate board members.

Invitations are sent upon Annual Conference registration, or by request if not attending the full conference.
