Elkhorn Slough is a major estuary located near the community of Moss Landing, on the coast of Monterey Bay. The slough provides an invaluable habitat area for hundreds of aquatic bird, fish, marine mammal, and invertebrate species and is critical to regional biodiversity. Program attendees will go on a guided electric pontoon boat tour of the slough accompanied by experts to learn about sea level rise impacts on transportation infrastructure and the importance of protecting and preserving the slough as climate change impacts this important ecological resource.
