A little background about our guest speaker:
John reigns from the Detroit, Michigan area originally, beginning his engineering career on a survey crew in 1976, he found both fun and good pay during high school summers. Seeking stability, he moved to Iowa after graduation and joined an engineering firm. During the next 32 years, he advanced from a survey crew assistant to managing the firm’s Survey Department and becoming an owner, helping the firm grow with cutting-edge technology and market presence. Following significant changes in leadership, he pursued a more passionate endeavor, ultimately leading him to the world of winemaking.
He has resided in Iowa since 1979 and was in civil engineering until 2014 when the wine business took over his soul.
