WTS Young Professionals and ITE are co-hosting a mindfulness workshop, Engineering Your Mind, on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Research into mindfulness continues to grow and show the extensive benefits of incorporating mindful practices into our routines. These benefits range from improved mental health to increased empathy, patience, and compassion, and reduced bias.
In this workshop, participants will learn skills to manage stress, the science behind mindfulness and an overview of how mindfulness practices can strengthen soft skills necessary in technical careers for successful teamwork and leadership.
The workshop will be led by Elyssa Dixon, a registered Professional Engineer in Washington State, mindfulness and meditation coach, and founder of fleeceandforests LLC. While this event is free, space is limited so an RSVP is required.
