The WTS-Boston Leadership Award is an annual award given to a woman who has made significant contributions to the transportation industry that aligns with the mission, vision, guiding principles, and core values of WTS.  This may include directly contributing to the advancement of women and minorities through programs or opportunities in the transportation field; or a woman who, through her career achievements and support of women in the industry, has advanced the reputation and credibility of women in transportation.

Over a lengthy leadership career in the public, private, academic and non-profit sectors, Stephanie Pollack has built a reputation for building consensus and crafting and implementing pragmatic solutions to public policy and infrastructure challenges at the local, state and federal level.  She currently serves in the Office of the Secretary at the US Department of Transportation, serving as a senior advisor on issues of implementing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and project delivery.  Prior to that she served in two senior transportation leadership positions, first for six years as Secretary and CEO of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and then for two years as Deputy (and Acting) Administrator of the Federal Highway Administration in USDOT.  Before her government service, she spent many years in the advocacy and consulting world and then conducted research at and helped to design and teach in a newly-created School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University.

Ms. Pollack will receive the WTS-Boston Leadership Award at an invitation-only reception in Boston. Keep your eyes out for a separate invitation in your email if you are a sponsor, public official, or 2024 WTS-Boston leader.
