The current pandemic has impacted the transportation industry especially transit and multimodal programs. These programs were already challenged with ridership, funding, and high use of personal vehicles. However, during the pandemic, SBCTA and RCTC have found ways to continue to support the development transit and multimodal projects to ensure the Inland Empire region continues to provide options for the traveling public. New regulations, potential new funding sources, and the constant need to provide transportation options may provide an avenue for transit and multimodal options to thrive in future years. Representatives of RCTC and SBCTA will present on their multimodal projects and their perspectives on the current and future status of multimodal options in the region.
