Innovation is key to the LYNX transportation system and one of the three key drivers of LYNX’s Mission. Innovation allows LYNX to efficiently provide local bus services throughout Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties, as well as parts of Lake, Polk, and Volusia Counties. Last year, LYNX accommodated an average of 53,000 passenger trips per day over an area of approximately 2,500 square miles with a more than 2.3 million resident population.
Innovation comes in many shapes and sizes at LYNX, from electric and automated buses to compressed natural gas and electric “fueling” stations, from technology apps to let you know when the next bus is arriving to catered services, such as Fast Link, LYMMO and ACCESS LYNX, meeting the needs of all of our riders, to Cloud computing resources making these technologies faster and more secure.
Come join us for a tour of LYNX Central Station, “kick the tires,” and hear from a panel of LYNX experts to inform on the latest in LYNX projects and innovations. Our panel will inform us about how the agency is planning and implementing innovative programs, showcase major capital improvements coming in the near future, outline partnerships that make this technology possible, and show you how LYNX can be your mobility provider of the future!
