While the Bay Area has made some progress towards increasing gender and racial diversity and representation within the transportation industry, challenges still exist to provide women with equitable opportunities to advance in the workplace. This year’s event will share the report’s conclusions on the state of gender diversity in the Bay Area’s transportation sector and the initiatives being put in place to address gender and racial gaps.
The Glass Ceiling Report release event will be structured to provide networking time for attendees at the beginning, followed by a review of the high-level findings of the study, and then will move into a deeper discussion through a facilitated panel discussion.
Dr. Karen Philbrick, WTS International Board Member and Executive Director of the Mineta Transportation Institute will be our program moderator.
