Amy Plovnick will present on two resources developed by the U.S. Department of Transportation to support the implementation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country. She will provide an overview of the Rural EV Toolkit and forthcoming Urban Electric Mobility toolkit that aim to provide a one-stop resource to help communities plan, fund, and implement EV charging infrastructure. Amy will also discuss new funding programs to support EV charging infrastructure, and resources available through the new Joint Office of Energy and Transportation. This event will be held virtually via Zoom and registration for this event will close on May 2.
Amy Plovnick has worked at the U.S. Department of Transportation Volpe Center since 2016. As a community planner and project manager, she partners with federal agencies on a broad portfolio of research, program implementation, and technical assistance. Her work focuses on climate resilience, sustainability, transportation electrification, and active transportation.
Previously, Plovnick worked on renewable energy and energy efficiency policy at two nonprofit organizations in Washington, D.C. She holds a master’s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in political science and environmental studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
