The WTS-Boston Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee looks forward to a lively discussion of the book Hood Feminism: Notes From the Women That a Movement Forgot, by Mikki Kendall.
Hood Feminism provides an intersectional critique of the modern feminist movement. Mikki Kendall argues that food security, access to quality education, safe neighborhoods, a living wage, and medical care are all feminist issues. Kendall takes aim at the legitimacy of the modern feminist movement and the way it has failed to address the needs of all but a few women.
