WTS Colorado's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee is hosting a “Cultural Awareness to Cultural Humility” training with Culture Energized (DEI Consultant) on Wednesday, Oct. 9. A virtual training will be offered from 9 to 11 a.m., and an in-person training will be hosted at the Colorado Center from 2 to 4 p.m.
In this introductory training, we invite transportation professionals of all levels to expand their understanding of diverse cultures and learn how to navigate intercultural interactions more effectively. This training will discuss the impact of cultural stereotypes and assumptions on multigenerational, minority and underrepresented cultural/religious groups.
This training is designed to raise awareness of the impact of cultural differences, establish a common language and increase understanding of multi/intercultural inclusion and equity. Through discussions and scenarios, participants will learn helpful communication practices and identify more inclusive leadership practices.
Scholarships available if needed.
