“The biggest barrier that discourages women from entering and staying in aviation careers is culture – and it is the hardest to change.” - Dr. Heather Wilson, Chair - Women in Aviation Advisory Board; President - The University of Texas El Paso; Former Secretary of the U.S. Air Force
In 2020, Congress established the Women in Aviation Advisory Board (WIAAB) to address the significant underrepresentation of women in aviation. 30 women from diverse backgrounds were appointed to the WIAAB and were charged with checking aviation’s course and make recommendations to navigate toward a stronger future.
Join our program to hear about the WIAAB’s report (click here to download the report) and from our esteemed panelists who will discuss their remarkable roles, the challenges they have overcome and the strides they are making to inspire women and girls to embrace aviation as a career and let their dreams take flight!
