Join WTS Puget Sound for a walking tour of the 15th Ave W/NW & Ballard Bridge Paving & Safety Project led by Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) on October 15 at 4:00 p.m.
The project is currently in construction and includes new sidewalks, a designated bus only lane, a new crosswalk at NW 51st St, new landscaped medians, pedestrian lighting improvements, and seismic retrofits to the Ballard Bridge. The majority of planning, design, and management was completed in-house by SDOT staff. SDOT representatives including Marilyn Yim and Vanessa Bacurin will lead WTS Puget Sound on a one-hour walking tour of the project, including walking onto the Ballard Bridge.
The walking tour will be followed by a happy hour at Old Stove Gardens in Ballard where SDOT staff will provide additional details on the planning and design of the project.
Space will be limited. Please meet at 3:45pm at the southwest corner of 15th Ave NW and Market Street (near the Walgreens) and bring PPE gear including a vest, hardhat, and walking shoes/boots.
